A day in North and East Manchester
Having already checked out the scene in depth on both the south and west sides of this metropolitan county as well as in its northern fringe of Bolton and Bury, I decided to check out the eastern side of the area, particularly, the Ashton area, Oldham and Rochdale but also a new parlour which had opened in Radcliffe just to the south of Bolton and by an amazing coincidence the other longstanding parlour in Radcliffe had just had a change of management and the new Having already checked out the scene in depth on both the south and west sides of this metropolitan county as well as in its northern fringe of Bolton and Bury, I decided to check out the eastern side of the area, particularly, the Ashton area, Oldham and Rochdale but also a new parlour which had opened in Radcliffe just to the south of Bolton and by an amazing coincidence the other longstanding parlour in Radcliffe had just had a change of management and the new team in charge wanted me to pop over and visit it, so I could give it a more accurate appraisal for any future books. Furthermore I had also been contacted by an intriguing operation called the Manchester Dungeon, though perversely it is actually located in Bury, so in addition to checking out the scene in the first towns and their adjoining area, I also realised I was going to have a busy day popping around the Manchester motorway network, checking out these other three establishments.
I started the day in Ashton-under-Lyne at Le Chic. This has been run by the same lady since 2000, and has moved around the town, but has now been in Stamford Arcade for some time now. The only unusual feature it possesses is that it once boasted a website www.lechic.freeuk.com, which was not authorised by the management, but was a spoof put up by some anorak.
My next call was however a much more friendly matter. Just to the south of Ashton town centre, not far from the town’s Asda, though technically in the neighbouring town of Dukinfield, which at one time meant it was in Cheshire as opposed to Ashton’s Lancashire is Indulgence. This is a parlour that has moved around as well, though only a matter of yards within the same street and at one time it occuiped really luxurious premises on the other side of the street, but some how things did not work out there and it has been at its current address for some time now. It has always had a lot of potential, with some great girls, friendly management and reasonably luxurious premises. It was also the last parlour where one could find the noted working lady, Gina, who alas is no longer with us, but who featured with me in the documentary “Vice – the sex trade” back in 1998.

From here I cut across to Denton and the town’s lone parlour, which is discreetly located in a short cul de sac very close to the M57 motorway. Cristal Main has some delightful features, not least a very distinctive spiral staircase one must ascend from the ground level entrance hall to the nerve centre of the parlour on the first floor and some luxurious rooms. The most alluring lady working there, I regret to say, is however a stunningly attractive pale brunette who is normally simply the receptionist, since she now only attends to old regulars.

Descending on to the M57, I now headed into the city of Manchester crossing the M60 and driving along the A57 Hyde Rd., not the most upmarket corner of this city. At one time this road boasted four separate parlours, all of which have now closed and none of which will frankly be missed. However a new one, Liberty's Health Studio, opened at the Denton end of the Hyde Road, over a year ago and while hardly upmarket, it is not unreasonable pricewise and it boasts very friendly management, who also work in the establishment. However, as is the case at many of the not top of the range establishments all over Britain, one should take the phone descriptions of the ladies with a pinch of salt.
It was now back over on to the M60 and up to Oldham and one of Greater Manchester’s longest running and finest establishments. The Georgian has been in operation since the 1980’s and only a couple of years back the management took over the next door shop and extended the premises, so now it extends to no fewer than eight massage rooms, including a fantasy cellar and first floor Jacuzzi room. There are generally five or six ladies to choose from and they include some top rate performers. I was treated to a session with Elis, a tall leggy Brunette from South Africa. It really is amazing how many white South Africans I have come across working in Britain these days and she certainly knew her stuff. Kicking off with a gentle massage, she soon got into the swing of giving me a very enjoyable time and I would recommend her to anyone.

Suitably refreshed, I headed off to the town’s other longstanding parlour, Silks in Chadderton. This used to operate on two levels, with a more luxurious room on the ground floor, not far from where you enter the building, but that went a few years back. When I turned up the only lady, and there seems to be only one working there during the day, was a lady I had come across and had even photographed in Barrow-in-Furness of all places.
I now got on to the Motorway system again and headed off to Radcliffe. Christina’s Palace is the latest parlour to open in Greater Manchester and is run by a charming lady by the name of Christine. It incorporates some interesting features, notable a balcony on the first floor from which one can look down on the ground floor reception area. The massage rooms are also quite spacious. Again I came across a notable veteran of the local scene, Nikita, a very attractive pale brunette, who had successfully entertained me some ago at the now closed Liaisons in Ashton Road, Oldham.

From here made the short journey to Gemini in Bury Road and had a very pleasant chat with the new proprietress. The new management have made quite a difference to the parlour putting in a decent sized hot tub, in which one can very comfortably relax with one’s masseuse and a modern state of the art sauna. Some of their ladies are well worth seeing as well.
I now headed up the Bury Road and into Bury itself, where in a back street in a commercial area, not far from the centre of the town is to be found the Manchester Dungeon. Operating on two floors and boasting a wealth of equipment designed to test even the strongest of individuals, it also boasts a host of notable dominatrixes and apart from their supremo, Mistress Julia Pink, the one whom one cannot help but notice is Mistress Jadee. A stunningly attractive slim blonde who particularly specialises in kidnap scenarios, see her alternative website www.mistresskidnap.com, she looks just beautiful in the flesh as she does on her website and is obviously good at her job, since she was booked solidly for the afternoon. I had a good few more calls to make still, and so it was left that I should come back to experience a session with the mistress at some later junction in the not too distant future. My knees go weak at the thought of it.

From Bury I now headed east via Heywood to Rochdale and initially I visited Liaisons, the town’s lone swinging club, which doubles as a massage parlour during the day. They have some fascinating rooms here and a very mixed selection of ladies over the various days of the week, ranging from teenagers to ladies, who tend to subtract a fair few years from their actual age. The town also boasts another parlour of consequence in the form of Bailey’s, which has moved once and changed name on a number of occasions. After a recent refurbishment it has become quite luxurious and boasts some pretty game ladies.

Also in the borough of Rochdale is the town of Middleton, where Steve Coogan a.k.a. Alan Partridge was born and brought up. It also boasts two parlours, Orchid nearer the town centre and Salon 38, which was the one I visited on this occasion. It is also the only one with a website of its own. It has had a few changes of ownership since it first opened its doors to customers back in 2005, but sharing staff to some extent with one of Bradford’s leading parlours, it is well worth checking out.

I ended my day in the area in the town of Failsworth, which is within the borough of Oldham, though postally it is Manchester and lies appropriately halfway between Oldham and central Manchester straddling the main A62. The town has boasted two parlours for some time. Chloe’s is only open intermittently, its most distinctive feature being a small dungeon in its cellar. L.J.’s originally known by its full title of the Lady Jane Health Studio is a more reliably open and has more spacious rooms, as well as very friendly and welcoming staff.
