It had been some time since I had visited Scotland, but with a new parlour guide to show people, I did my ringing around upfront and then set off early on Wednesday morning. I decided to finish off visiting the shops in the North East that I had not managed to fit in during my trip up to Yorkshire the previous week and started early getting to Darlington around 11.Having visited the two shops there, Having already visited Redcar, I then headed up to the Tyne tunnel and over to North Shields and the only other shop I supply in the area. I then proceeded around the north side of Newcastle and on to the A696 and then on up into the Northumberland countryside across the border and then on through Jedburgh, Lauder and Earlston until I got to the Edinburgh Ring Road, from which I headed around to my son's house. He was arriving with my two grandchildren and a friend of my grandson and his mother, who was an artist and like my son, English. I then spent the next couple of hours having an amiable conversation with my son and the mother until it was time for me to head off to meet up with my old friend Lauren, the lady who had starred with me in the Channel 5 documentary "Massage Parlours - the Real McCoy".
I had been led to believe at one time, Lauren was dead, but having been put in touch with her, we had talked on the phone and it was clear that she was well and truly alive and having got a degree through the Open University, was now working as a nutritionist. When I had talked to her, she was in Windsor of all places, but about to go to Stornoway, where she had lined up a job. However she was going to be back in Edinburgh by the time I was going to be there, so we agreed to meet at the Thai Lemongrass Restaurant in Bruntsfield, not far from where my son had lived. I had agreed to meet her there at 7, but somehow got it into my mind it was 8, so when I got a text from her indicating she was waiting, I hurried over. There then followed two hours of conversation, where I found out so much more about her and vice versa. I had not realised she had two grown up sons and she also regaled me with some interesting famous names, she had taken care of in her time, including confirming that one notable politician likes dressing up in ladies' clothing, that had been first mentioned to me by Jessica, the tattooed temptress when I last saw her, some years ago. He is however hardly a reactionary, so you will have to guess who it might be.
The following morning I started visiting Edinburgh's parlours and found a number had closed, even the Gentle Touch, where Lauren and I had filmed had gone. And now all that are left are what had been the best eight parlours in the city and I started my day by visiting Scorpio Leisure, where I knew my friend Charles Haigh would be in attendence on reception.Ever since the raids which led to the abolition of the Edinburgh Licensing system, the less notable parlours have all closed, because of lack of business and even the best are only now getting half the business they used to. Numerous flats have opened in the city and the number of independent working ladies has exploded, so instead of having a situation where the powers that be knew what was going on and where, there are just as many ladies working now as before, but the powers that be have no idea where most of them are. And with a climate that regards the saunas as perfectly acceptable to most people in the city, I fail to understand how the police think they will ever get a guilty verdict. and fourteen months after the raids, the proprietors are still awaiting the first trial. Because of the sensitivity of the situation and the lack of business on the part of the parlours, I was not treated to any complimentary massages, but that was hardly a surprise and no one was interested in spending any money on enhanced entries on my website. So after a couple of visits to other parlours, I ended my initial visit to Edinburgh by calling in on Tam at the Regency, the new name for the former Paradise Sauna, where I enjoyed a good chat with the ladies, before heading off to Glasgow.
There I first visited Shawlands massage, one of the longest running private flats in the city, before I headed back to the city centre and called in on Victor Senior at the DVD Exchange in Saltmarket, who took a load of my new books off my hands to try out on the remaining sex shops in Scotland, whose numbers have plummeted in recent years. I then headed back to Edinburgh and revisited Scorpio Sauna, this time seeing Ian, Charles' brother. As I should have expected, Ian had a slightly different view of what had happened and what might happen next, but given their relationship, which has always involved differing views on most matters, I was hardly surprised. As usual they had a delightful selection of ladies available, but they were clearly seeing far less customers than usual, though Ian mentioned some fascinating names of past customers there, including some very notable politicians. He also pointed out to me that the Chief Constable of Police Scotland is an unusually probably very repressed individual, sharing his house with a man, but not prepared to admit he might be gay. No doubt he is a Christian as well. All the country needs!
I then headed back to my son's house and reaxed as best I could in my son and daughter-in-law's company as well as that of their son and daughter and got a good night's rest. The following morning with few more people worth seeing I was about to head off home, when I got a text from one of the many Glasgow dommes, I had contacted, so I found myself heading off to Paisley, where Mistress Megara is based. We had a long and interesting conversation. I had been led to believe her partner, a master, and another domme might have been available, but neither could make it, but I took some photos of her and copious notes regarding her experiences of the domme scene in Greater Glasgow, and found her both an attractive and a fascinating woman, with a delightful sense of humour.
And with that I headed off home getting back late in the afternoon.
