Two days in Amsterdam
A few weeks ago, Janine of Nottingham, the lady who adorns the cover of my forthcoming East Anglia and East Midlands Guide told me of a new meeting being organised for people in the industry, in particular agency owners, adult website designers and adult directory owners, called the Escort Pro Social. This was to take place in Amsterdam, starting off with an informal meeting at a hotel the first evening followed by various meetings over meals the following day, ending with us all relaxing at a casino on the second evening, before we all headed back home the following day.
It looked as though a lot of people would be there including Janine, who suggested I stay, like her at the Rho Hotel, a reasonably priced establishment near the heart of the city, Dam Square. Since I wish to cooperate with as many webdesigners as possible, I decided to go along.
On arriving at Schuypol, I got a phonecall from Andy Knell of Northern Angels, who had also just arrived and with the weather being quite pleasant I headed into the city the most economical way by train and then I walked from the station to the hotel.
After unpacking I headed the short distance to the first meeting place, a nearby hotel bar and after a short wait the people attending this meeting turned up. There were however only seven other people besides myself, and they did not even include Janine. In fact all there were, were Andy and two of his associates, who included the person organising the event, Mark of Cherry Girls, whom I knew from meeting at the odd Erotica, Hass, the gentleman behind First Escorts Listing, an Irishman by the name of David, who was pretty new to the industry and an old friend of Andy's, Kate English, a working lady of some renown.

Nevertheless we spent a very pleasant evening at the bar and then trawling around some of the local sights.
The following day we spent having two very enjoyable meals at cafes in the Square and we ended the event going to a local casino. David who organised it was clearly somewhat disappointed at the number of people who attended. Another five or six had pledged themselves to come, but just did not arrive and he clearly was too trusting. He should have insisted on a deposit from all the people who said they would come. Nevertheless the people who did come were an interesting crowd and I made some interesting contacts. It would have just been a lot more interesting to meet a larger number of people.
