Several months ago I was approached by Kurt Kofron of RTL, the German equivalent of ITV. He had done a ten minute article on me some ten years or so ago and wanted to do another. I did not hear from him for some time and when I finally did he left it to me to find a parlour interested in taking part and to follow up on my suggestion that we devote half the ten minute slot to my good friends at the House DuCroix in Bristol.

Initially I was going to do half the programme on Winston's in Leeds, but since they were applying for a new drinks license, they did not want to rock the boat and decided on reflection to pass up the opportunity of such free publicity. My thoughts then turned to Kandy's in Telford, where two ladies, Jet and Caprice wanted personally to entertain me together. They were there every Tuesday and Friday, so I rang them suggesting we come over to do the filming on Tuesday April 9th and they agreed.

So with everything agreed, including my fee, I drove over to Birmingham Airport to pick up Kurt and his crew and then head over to Telford. We met up in Coffee area at the airport and then after a bit of a chat we headed off along the M6 and the M54 to Telford. Kandy's is certainly busy, no sign of the recession hitting trade there and the day was interrrupted agin and agin by clients turning up. But we got everything done except my compimentary service, which will have to wait until my next visit to Teford

Back to my home in Stone we went and then Kurt and his colleagues went off to a hotel they had booked in Stafford, agreeing to meet once more in Stone the following morning.

The following morning, the men working on a major revamp of a neighbouring house, which has only just changed hands, were fascinated by the numerous instances of the cameramen filming me getting into my car and driving off, but in the midst of it all, we had a calamity with an important piece of camera equipment being accidentally dropped on the pavement and it was obviously (one could tell by the smoke that came out of it) damaged irrepairably. So we headed off for Bristol, but called in at PC World in Stafford in the hope of getting a replacement. without any joy. Eventually it was decided we would visit the Apple Store in Bristol's Cabot Circus, the new city centre shopping centre and eventually we got a piece of equipment to solve the problem, from ironically PC World there. We then hurried over to the House Ducroix to see Marcus, Steph and Mistress Suki, who performed almost as well for the camera as she does with her clients, two of whom slightly disrupted the proceedings by occupying her from 3pm to 5pm. Luckily, one due for a two hour session at 5 decided he could not make it and so apart from a minor problem regarding filming me in my car while it was raining, we had a successful day in Bristol.

It was then back up the M5 and M6 and some last minute filming of me in my office, before they paid me the agreed sum for the shoot and I was finally able to get a bit of rest!
