A day in Yorkshire
It had been a while since I had visited Yorkshire, so having rung around up front I set out around 8am and got to my first call on Junction 29 Truckstop just to the south of Chesterfield around 10. After topping up their books, I headed in to Sheffield and first checked out Thai Visite, a very notable Thai parlour located in the Hillsborough area of the city. It puzzled me because its website was operational, but its phone numbers were not. When I got there I found one window smashed and another with a note in it saying it was reopening under new management soon. Just as I was turning to go a black gentleman, obviously there to repair things, turned up, so I gave him a card and left it at that.
My next call was on a new flat not that far away. When I got there I had problems finding it and then after ringing the flat I heard a voice from the top of an external staircase saying "Hello George, come on up". It was an old acquaintance of mine, Christine, who had run various other parlours in the past. She was finding this was probably not located in the right area and it might be closing before too long, which would be a pity. The flat is reasonably luxurious and has the unusual feature of having once been the location of another type of parlour, an ice cream parlour!
I now headed over to the Attercliffe Rd., the road with more parlours in it than any other in Britain and after topping up a sex shop there, I headed off down Worksop Road looking for Club £25, which soon presented itself to me on the right just before the railway bridge. I had been told by Christine that it was another old acquaintance of mine that ran this bizarrely named parlour and so I was surprised to find no one I knew there, though once I identified myself they knew who I was. It turned out that the lady running it is indeed in partnership with the people I was told were running it and after I had taken some photos of one of the ladies, it was suggested I enjoy an session with her, but I had a lot of calls lined up, so I thanked them but said I would have to leave it this time.
I now headed over first to Rotherham, where I left a load of my two new books with Pulse and Cocktails for them to put out into all their relevant shops and then I stopped off at the Stockyard Truckstop to bill the CDC store there for books sold. I now headed up the M1 to Castleford and Utopia, a store that had not moved that many of my books in the past, but whom, I had not visited for some years. This time I found they had moved a fair few of my books and after topping up with diesel at the local Asda, I headed off via Wakefield to Dewsbury and Flair probably, the most luxurious parlour still going strong in West Yorkshire. Brian and I had a good long chat about things and he both paid for an advert and some books, making it a well worthwhile stop. And while there I said hello to the delightful Kathy, probably their top lady and certainly their busiest.

I now rang Scene One, a sex shop in Bradford, but Spencer, the boss had not, as he should have, left any instructions with his assistant regarding what they required, so I headed off to my last call of the day on Tigeress of Brighouse, a lady who very interestingly put a link to her single entry webpage on her Adultwork page and whom I felt it might be interesting to meet. She was certainly not your run of the mill lady. She entertains from her home, a council semi in a cul de sac on the north side of Brighouse and the house has almost been taken over by her collection of glass bottles and crockery, which even featured in an article in an antiques magazine she showed me. She has both an impressive adultwork page and quite a decent body, but has had a thin time re business of late, another manifestation of the recession. After an interesting conversation, I called it a day and headed back home, getting back soon after 7p.m.
