A frustrating day in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Newbury and Oxon

The day started so well with my heading on to the M6 and discovering a sign over it saying it would take 90 minutes to get to Jn.8 where the M6 meets the M5, so I left at Jn.11 and headed down through Willenhall getting to Ikea at Wednesbury in good time and seeing the traffic on the M6 by Jn.9 moving steadily, but since I need to get some diesel and some food for the day, I headed over to Great Bridge and then down the A41 to M5 Jn.1. There I discovered why they had been warning people of delays. there was no traffic coming down the M5 from the M6. Indeed there were police cars under the roundabout by the Hawthorns and while I could easily join the M5 going south had I wanted to go back north I would have had problems. So a successful start to the day, but then things went downhill.

If there is one thing about working ladies that can leave one very frustrated it is that they are not the most reliable of people when it comes to making appointments to see them from the previous day. This is often due to the capricious nature of their work, suddenly getting business at a moment's notice and one has to recognise that business comes first for them, but it still means I have to allow for several prospective calls to be written off and this day I ended up writing off all bar one.

Neither Angel of Gloucester or Ruth of Cheltenham were available. No sign of Angel and Ruth was extra busy. And when I rang Jenny of Swindon, she was heading over to her mother's and could not have contacted me because her credits had run out. I somehow doubt in those circumstances that i would have got much money out of her. Swindon's lone indie sex shop in Cricklade Rd., had not moved many books and then when I rang Teresa of Newbury Leisure, I found she had not left any money for me with her receptionist because she could not find any reviews for her parlour on my site. She had mixed me up with Punternet!

It then on to Banbury and Oasis, where Zoe treated me to a very enjoyable session with Mandy, one of her oldest ladies, but one who certainly does not look her age and who was pretty competent at her craft. I made a sale here, but when I had no luck in seeing Lady Godiva, also based in the town, it set the seal on a pretty disappointing day. And so I headed home.
