An interesting day in Greater Manchester

I got off about eight and got up to my first call on Gemini in Radcliffe around 9.30. To my great surprise I found myself greeted by Rose, an oriental lady I had taken a photo of at Stratford Sauna in London more than ten years ago and who was still looking good despite the passing years. The new management, who had taken over from the late Georgina whom I was surprised to learn had passed away some six months or so ago, were keen to show me how they were transforming the place and I was happy to find one of the two ladies running it was my old friend Irene, who had previously been involved in running Studio 38 in Middleton.

I then headed up the Bury Rd. to Bury where I was due to meet Lou, one of the area’s most notable working ladies, who entertains from various hotels and who was to be found that morning just about to leave the Premier Inn in that town. On arrival in Knowsley St., I rang her and she suggested we meet in the bar at the hotel. I agreed, paid for some parking and headed in to the hotel, where we had a very enjoyable and productive chat. It was the first time I had met her and can see why she is so popular. Not backward in coming forward, she certainly believes in calling a spade a spade and clearly enjoys her work.

I next headed over to see Anne at the Georgian in Oldham, one of my favourite Greater Manchester parlours. They have started on a policy of refurbishing rooms, kicking off with the gent’s toilet and as usual, they are keeping this parlours’ standards as high as they should. We had chat about Georgina, and Madison, one of the parlours stars from ten years or so ago, both of which are sadly no longer with us and concluded out business reasonably quickly and then I headed back to Bury and met up with mark, who is the website designer behind “Websites for Escorts”. We had a very friendly chat at a pub near ASDA just off the M66 and with the imminent reorganisation of my website due before too long, left things that I would contact him again once the reorganisation was complete.

I now headed over to Prestwich and New Scarletts. Dawn was finding the recession not doing her any favours, but promised to get back in touch as and when things improved. My next call was over in Walkden on Angelica’s Angels, the former Louisa’s. Jane the boss, was her usual phlegmatic self and we had a chat about how things were going business wise. She seemed reasonably busy with two ladies, both being kept busy but was not interested in any further advertising at that juncture and so I now headed into the city centre, where I popped into all the indie sex shops, but without finding that they had moved that many books or maps.

I now tried to deliver a couple of maps that had been ordered by a gentleman in Whalley Range, but whose address the Post Office had been unable to find. I had no more luck and ended by leaving the package he had ordered at a Vet’s of almost the same address as he had given me, before heading on to my last call on High Society., the former Ruby Milans and which still uses the Ruby Milans title in its web address. The person I needed to see was not around and so with that I called it a day and headed home.
