Two days on the road going to Great Yarmouth and back
Periodically I have to go and visit the corners of the country where adult services are bit thinner on the ground, but I generally find I get a pretty good welcome in East Anglia and so I was looking forward to my trip away this week.
I set out at about 8.30a.m. and realised I was going to get to my first call in Oakham well before they opened, so I decided to make a diversion into Derby, which I would normally have driven past and get myself some food at Asda in Spondon. Little did I realise as I parked my car of the problems lying in wait. In the past I have had problems getting around Toronto, because of a visit by the Queen, Helsinki because of a visit from President Daniel Arap Moi of Kenya and more mundanely Halifax, West Yorkshire, not Nova Scotia, because of a visit by Princess Margaret. On all three occasions, which all happened long ago, when I was in another line of work, I had great problems getting to where I wanted to go in each of these urban areas because of the presence of these three individuals and the fact that roads were consequently blocked off.
In Asda in Derby, I had problems because of Sir Cliff Richard, who was visiting the store for an hour or so in the afternoon to sign copies of his new autobiography. Already several parts of the store had been sealed off and I decided after picking up my sandwiches etc., that I would use my visit to get some new pyjamas. I looked everywhere but could I find them? So I asked a lady who worked there where they were to be found and was sent to a far corner of the clothes area, to find only the sort of trendy pyjamas suitable for someone in their teens. I asked someone else. They had all been moved into a storage area out at the back because of Sir Cliff. This second lady very kindly found what I wanted and after a what seemed like an interminable delay, though it was probably only fifteen minutes or so, I left Asda, Derby and Sir Cliff.
When I got to Simply the Best in Oakham, the boss Tina was there, but was short of funds and so not interested in the sample entry for the time being, so I headed on to my next port of call, Geisha Escorts, a very unusual set up in a luxury very spacious house in the country not far from the A1. It boasts a swimming pool, of a decent size, a luxury dining area and various areas, where you can simply chill out, as well as a delightful selection of young ladies, who will take care of one. I found myself driving into the premises immediately behind one of the partners, a black gentleman by the name of Paul. As it turned out, it was his partner, Alan, that I needed to see and he was not around.

So I headed on to my next port of call, Valentines Massage in Wisbech. Conveniently run from an industrial unit on the northern edge of the town, the premises had been known as Harmony Studios and was taken over by the people who ran Valentines in Peterborough earlier this year and this was my first visit since they opened for business a few months back. The proprietress greeted me and was interested in the sample entry proposal.

From Wisbech I headed over to King's Lynn. A private flat there called Delights had contacted me some time ago, asking me to go and visit them and so after popping into the sex shop on the Hardwick Narrows industrial estate, I headed over to the flat, now called Honeyz. Unfortunately what I was unaware of was that it was a one lady there on her own establishment and since the lady had just taken a client in, she could not see me for half an hour or so. I returned half an hour later, having finished a sudoku and had a chat with the lady there, a mature lady called Mary, who had run the establishment herself until she sold out to the new proprietors.
She however could make no decisions on their behalf, so somewhat disappointed I now headed over to Norwich, where I had only a few possibilities to ring and none were available. So it was on to Acle, about halfway between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, and the Travelodge there. The Travelodge is located well back from the main road and that must be why I could not get a line to my laptop. The Little Chef however is right up by the road and I could tell from my mobile that the reception there was a lot better, so I popped in there and had a pasta salad, while I checked my e-mails.
The following morning I headed off to Great Yarmouth and the town's lone parlour, Sunset Studios, now run by Kat, a lady who has worked there herself off and on for some years. Never the most upmarket of establishments, it was run for a long time by a very attractive young blonde by the name of Katie, then it was run by a German lady called Katia and now by a young brunette called Kat. She is making a sterling effort to brighten it up. Interestingly although she had a note in the window suggesting they were short of staff and inviting young interested ladies to apply to work there, she told me they had had so many ladies applying they did not really need any more. I wonder if this is yet another manifestation of the credit crunch.
She showed me around and we had a chat about her plans, but she was somewhat financially strained, so I headed off down the A12 to the principle town I was aiming on visiting, Ipswich. I had no luck with the two individual working ladies I was planning on seeing, Rona's phone numebr was engaged every time I rang it and when I talked to Vicky, I discovered she was busy with an overnighter in London, but I thought I might have more luck at Angels where I was due to see Peter.

Peter however was not around and would not be until five, so I went to see Aquarius and Katie, their indefatigable supremo. To my surprise she announced that she was tiring and was thinking of selling the business. Also I was surprised to discover their new dungeon that I had been invited to come down and perform an opening ceremony for was operating, but not in this building but in another a five minute walk away. Nevertheless, she was interested in a sample entry and so I then headed over to see Carol at Cleopatra's.
They seem to have had an easier time of it here than of late. Carol was not telling me of all the problems they were having with the revenue anymore, and the way they had been treating them, I felt some sympathy for their previous experiences. They wanted to go ahead with the sample entry, but wanted another photo up on the entry. None of the ladies there at the time were prepared to be photographed, so I am waiting.

After briefly popping up the A14 to drop off some books at the one shop, in Thetford, that wanted some books delivered, I headed back to Angels to see Peter, but while interested he was short of funds, so with that I headed home. I tried one more individual working lady, Toni of Newmarket, but without success, she rang me back later, but by then I was near Northampton, so while it was a productive trip, it was somewhat disappointing.
