Two days in Cardiff and Newport

Feeling it was high time I again popped down to the principality, I set out for Cardiff about 9a.m. on Thursday and got there soon after 11a.m. I kicked off my journey by visiting First Class Angels, the new name for Angels Simply the Best, whose website, I am still responsible for. They do not have the same settled staff they used to enjoy, ladies coming and going at a fair rate nowadays, but as it turned out they had some cheerful ladies who made me fairly welcome, and I was able do most of the work necessary to update the website without too much trouble.

From here I headed over to the west side of the city to see Anna, the only working lady keen to see me that I got an answer from when I rang her that day. A friendly and busty Polish blonde, it turned out she had bought a copy of my guidebook when she came to England, in London and used it to find a parlour to work at in Cardiff, before embarking on a career as an independent, which she is now letting take a secondary role to other work, mainly in translating, her English being excellent. I popped into Abby Oriental, an oriental terraced house appropriately located in the Canton area of Cardiff. Although I had been apparently contacted by Abby herself, the two ladies there were totally ignorant of me and so next time I am going to be in Cardiff, I will go prepared with copies of their e-mails.

I now tried ringing Corel and Paris, two ladies sharing a flat in the Fairwater area of the town, who have both had copious good reviews and who both used to work at Angels Simply the Best. Indeed Paris used to run it for the previous management. They were available and I popped over to Fairwater now to see them. Although located in a downmarket area, the flat was spacious, clean and even boasted two separate balconies, occupying two floors of a tower block. They were finding business tough at present. This saddened me, since Corel, who was just wearing a towel, and whom I do not recollect meeting before, obviously boasts a first class body and had had some superb reviews, as indeed had Paris. I could not sell them on the idea of a sample entry now, however, since they were very short of funds, only just about making enough to pay the rent on the flat. Obviously the credit crunch has hit South Wales.

I now headed into the city centre and visited Ambassador Suite, which was as busy as ever. Now under new management, they were keen on the sample entry idea, for the Ambassador, their nearby sister parlour Twice as Nice and No.19, their sister parlour in Butetown, formerly known as Tiger Bay, but now becoming a very upmarket corner of the city, with lots of new flats, trendy cafes etc. I discovered that Ambassador now boasts a website, though not its two sister parlours.

I now ventured on to Twice as Nice, the parlour, where the ladies still, even after another change of management, refer to one room as the MPs room, since a Plaid Cymru member of the Welsh Assembly kicked the bucket there, a few years back. The lady running the place there now remembered me and suggested I enjoy a session with Roxanne, a leggy blonde, who hailed from Swansea, and who had worked at all the city's main establishments over the years. Reasonably energetic and very keen to please, I have to compliment the management on their choice, since I asked them who they would recommend.

I now went back to First Class Angels to see the management and hoped to sell them on the idea of a sample entry, but without any luck, though I did take photos of one more lady who was just starting there that evening.

The one parlour left, where I thought I might have more luck, was First Choice Leisure in Whitchurch Road, another parlour that had changed hands a few times. Curiously I had bumped into one of the original owners, a Scotsman, at a parlour in Edinburgh, only a month or two back. Bryan, the manager, was available and we had a good long chat about the current rather hostile political scene vis a vis the industry, before he committed himself to a sample entry. He also offered me a session with my choice of the ladies there, but having just had a session at Twice as Nice, I did not feel up to it. I regret to say I am not Superman.

With that I headed off to Asda to fill up with diesel and pick up something to eat and then it was off to the Travelodge by M4 Jn.36.

The following morning I rung around and had no real luck at all. There were a number of ladies I had hoped to pop in and see - two ladies sharing a flat in Barry by the names of Hunny and Jess, though they texted me on the way down to say they were not interested in seeing me after all, Jade, a leggy half Italian based in Newport, who even gave me her address a day or two earlier, but who was now not answering her phone, Mistress Amanda, who told me she would be looking forward to seeing me on the Friday afternoon, but whom when I rang, was always unavailable and two top class ladies, Jewel, who boasts a jewel of a body and Alex Diamond, formerly known as Dion Harvey, who for varying reasons also both could not see me.

I had hoped to kick off the morning seeing Alexandra and her ladies at the successor to the flat in Cardiff Bay, she had previously run, called Welsh Playmates, the new flat located in Radyr being called Diamonds and Lace. I turned up at the flat at 10, thinking I would find Alexandra there, only to find she was not going to be around until 11.30. I used the time to go over to Splott and top up with books, Simply Pleasure, the sex shop there. Back in Radyr for 11.30, I found Alexandra still not around. After finishing a few Sudokus, I tried again and found she had arrived. Short of money, she was interested, but later.

I now headed over to see the one individual lady who was happy to see me today, Amy of Cwmbran. Entertaining from a discreet modern terraced house in the new town, she has a number of first class reviews and was keen to promote herself.

My last call of the day was on my old friend Lisa at the Retreat, a parlour that has had its fair share of ups and downs, including an horrific fire a few years back. This parlour must boast the most stable workforce in South Wales, with ladies of a slightly older than average age, a dungeon and some notable ladies. Lisa was keen on the sample entry idea, but as elsewhere, was short of readies.
