A short trip into Birmingham

It was high time I visited Birmingham again. There were four shops that needed books and several possible parlours and ladies I thought might be interested in sample entries.

And two ladies had contacted me with a view to my coming in and seeing them. The first one of them was my first call of the day, Kelly who ran a small operation from a flat near Adult Superstore in Edward St.

I first however visited Adult Superstore, which had the advantage of my being able to park my car in their car park while I visited Kelly afterwards and hence not have to pay to park my car in the road. Kelly runs a small operation she calls Foxy Ladies. It turned out she knows Zoe of Oasis in Banbury and they have already apparently had some success with their entry and Kelly wanted to do the same. I was happy to oblige and I also took some photos of one of the ladies, the only one there.

From here I decided to go over and see my friend Ron at Alexis' Secret Treats in Edgbaston. Ron is short for Ronelle. I sold them on the idea as well and mentioned I would be doing an article shortly about another area where I knew she had a sister establishment. She was happy to refer me to the person I needed to see, though she was not prepared to pay for a photo. So be it. I was rather amused when they all told me they thought I was the man behind Punternet. I did not know whether to regard it as a compliment or an insult. They were certainly a bit pissed off with Galahad's high handed attitude and their inability to get reviews left on site.

I now headed over to Oasis to see Sue. After a bit of a kerfuffle with the lady letting me in not recognising me, I showed Sue the sample entry idea, but she was having none of it, though she could see its merits. This was down to the city licensing authorities, who were getting tough not only refusing new licenses, but also curtailing the licenses of a number of parlours around the city. I was regaled with the story of her experiences with the authorities elsewhere in Britain and decided I was wasting my time.

After visiting three shops in the city centre, my next call was on City Girls 4U, which had just changed hands and I had not long previously been invited around by the new management. They promptly gave me a run down on the changes that had taken or were about to take place since they arrived and since I had relieved Shannon, the previous owner and who now was back to working there again, of a tidy sum on my last visit, I duly took down notes of the changes, which I will be dealing with soon after I finish this blog. Interestingly they are planning on installing a dungeon soon.

I now headed over to the Garden of Eden. This is one of the four remaining parlours nationally whose websites, I am still responsible for. I had left my folder back at home, but as I walked in, I suddenly realised I had all the info I needed on line with my laptop and I duly got it out and then sorted out what ladies were new etc. Joy was keen on the sample entry option, but it is the boss Lindsey who makes all the decisions and she is on holiday. Hopefully when I return on Thursday, Joy wil have talked to Lindsey.

I now headed off to what turned out to be my last call of the day on Angelique, a very attractive black lady who entertains from an upper floor flat in a classy tower block in Edgbaston. Just as I was getting there I realised she had texted me. I had left my mobile in the car while I was in the Garden of Eden. She was now seeing someone, but she would be free at 4.20p.m. I got there at 4.05 and rang her leaving a voicemail. I was just about to settle down to some paperwork, when she rang me back, her client had obviously finished early.

She is clearly finding the credit crunch a strain. I had last visited her in 2004 or 5 and then she had a maid and was busy as hell and could afford to just work five days and take the weekend off. There is no longer a maid and she was telling me there had even been the odd day, when she had done no business at all. Quite an admission from as classy and often reported on a lady as Angelique.

I now had planned on visiting my friend Kate, who runs Dudley Babes, but she was not around and so what with two other calls, I could not make today and the Garden of Eden again I am going to have four calls on Thursday, when I return to finish off Birmingham, at least for the time being.
