A day in the South East Midlands

I decided that Friday I would finish off putting my new Midland guidebooks in the reminder of the existing sex shops in the Midlands, so setting off at 9.30, I headed first over to Cannock, Walsall and finally in the West Midlands, Tamworth, putting my new books into the independent sex shops in these towns.

From Tamworth, I headed down the M42 and onto the M6 and then the M1 down towards Northampton, where there are two shops worth visting and in both of which I put my books. I had already arranged a meeting for 1p.m. with Miss Cameo, Northampton's most notable dominatrix and duly got to her abode in Semilong bang on time. I was surprised to find her not dressed as suitably as might have been expected for the occasion, but did not let this concern me. I had however it appeared been a little too subtle in my prior discussions with her and she simply felt I was coming in for a chat. and with a further client due at 2p.m., she felt she could not do full justice to a session with me in the time available, since she felt she had to change to more suitable attire, so we left it that I would see her once she was back from a holiday in Turkey in early September.

So with that I headed on to my next call in Wellingborough on Victoria's, where I hoped to meet up with Cindy, their delightful proprietor. Cindy was however not around, so I will call in and see her some other time.

From Wellingborough it was down to Bedford and then on to Milton Keynes, where on both occasions I simply put my new books into the sex shops there. I had a bit of time on my hands, so I now rang an old friend of mine from college days, whom I knew was living not that far from where I now was. She was in and we had a very pleasant chat and found that despite being a Labour supporter, she had matured with age and was not quite the fanatic I had remembered her as. Into education policies, she disagrees with all the new Tory ones, she was not as dogmatic as I thought she might have been about the sex industry, though she had like so many of the population been hoodwinked into believing Harman's exaggerated scale of the problem of sex trafficking. I should have pointed out that you should not believe all Labour propaganda, after all if Harman is correct in her views on the sex industry, surely Gordon must have have also been right in his assertion that he had altered the economic cycle phemonenon and we no longer have to put up with booms and busts.

Bidding her and her husband farewell, I headed off to my last call of the day on Victoria House in Lutterworth. They assured me they were not moving so many books these days, but they could not find that many of those I had left behind last time, but with Sandy not around, I simply swapped over the old Midland books for the new East Midland books and then headed home, indicating I would ring her direct and see her some other time.
